Trading conditions at Td Ameritrade were acceptable, but one withdrawal took longer than expected. Eventually received funds after additional verification.

I’m Kavya from Mumbai and I’ve been using TD Ameritrade for about 6 months. Overall I like how stable the platform feels and how clean the order entry is. Charts load quickly and I rarely see freezes, which matters to me because I place trades around London/NY overlap. The downside is that as a forex-focused trader, I had to spend extra time figuring out what applies to FX vs other products. Some settings and terminology feel built for a broader investing audience, so the learning curve was a little longer than I expected. Deposits were smooth and reflected when expected. Withdrawals worked, but the timeline wasn’t as fast as I hoped on one request, so I’m not giving a perfect score there. Support was polite and professional—when I asked for clarification, I got a clear answer, just not instantly. Overall: reliable and professional, but I’d love more forex-first guidance inside the UI.

I’m trading from Abu Dhabi and I opened a Standard account mainly for FX majors and a bit of index CFDs. Order execution has been consistent for my style (mostly market entries with tight stops), and I rarely see freezes even during busy sessions. The learning curve was the biggest issue for me—there are many menus and settings, and it took a couple of weeks before I felt confident placing bracket orders quickly. Deposits were straightforward and credited without surprises. Withdrawals worked, but my first one took longer than I expected because of an extra verification step and it wasn’t clearly explained upfront. Support was polite and knowledgeable when I asked about platform permissions and account settings, but I did have to wait in a queue during peak hours. Overall it’s reliable and professional, just not the simplest setup if you want something ultra beginner-friendly.

The platform tools and charting are genuinely strong, and I like having plenty of order types and research in one place. The downside for me was the setup/onboarding process—it felt a bit more paperwork-heavy than what I’m used to, and getting everything verified took longer than expected. Once the account was active, execution on my trades was fine for my style (I’m not scalping). Overall, I’m happy with the stability and the research features, but I wish the account opening and funding flow was more streamlined for international clients.

What I liked: the overall UI is clean, charting is reliable, and I didn’t face random freezes during busy sessions. I also appreciate how the account area keeps things organized once you know where to look. What needs improvement: the onboarding and settings are not very beginner-friendly—some features are buried in menus, and it took me a few sessions to set up my workspace the way I wanted. Costs/spreads also felt “okay” rather than exceptional compared to ultra-competitive FX-focused brokers. Overall, it’s dependable and professional, but not the simplest if you’re coming in only for forex.
