I’m Omar from Al Ain and I’ve been using Topstep for the last 6 months. Overall it’s been a good experience and it suits my style because I like clear rules and measurable targets. What I liked: the evaluation structure is straightforward, and the dashboard makes it easy to track where you stand. Execution felt consistent on my end, and I didn’t have any weird price spikes that changed the outcome of my trades. Payout process was generally smooth once I followed the steps exactly. What I didn’t like: the first couple of weeks were frustrating because the platform/settings and the rules can feel strict if you’re used to more flexible retail accounts. I also wish the fee schedule and add-ons were summarized in one simple page—everything is there, but you have to click around. Support was responsive when I asked about account resets and payout timing, but the answers sometimes felt templated. Still, they solved my issue. Net: I’d recommend it if you’re disciplined and you read the rules carefully. If you want a casual trading account, it can feel restrictive.

The evaluation structure pushed me to trade cleaner (smaller size, fewer revenge trades), and the dashboard made it easy to track daily loss limits and progress. Execution felt stable during normal hours, but around major news releases the fills can feel a bit jumpy, so I learned to avoid trading right on the candle. What I liked most is that the rules are clear and the performance metrics are transparent, so I always knew where I stood. The downside is the reset/fee side can add up if you have a rough week, and the strictness can feel frustrating when you’re close to the target. Support was helpful when I asked about account status and rule clarifications, but I still had to read the FAQs carefully to avoid mistakes. Overall it did what I needed: structure and accountability. I’d recommend it if you want a rules-based environment and you’re okay with the costs of restarting if you slip up.
