Stable execution and clean reporting, but swaps surprised me

I’m Omar from Abu Dhabi and I’ve been using ActivTrades on a Standard account for about 6 months, mostly trading EUR/USD and XAU/USD during London/NY overlap. Execution has been steady for me and I like how clear the trade history and statements are when I’m reviewing my risk and journaling. Deposits were straightforward (I used a card first, then bank transfer) and the funds reflected without drama. Spreads feel competitive on majors in normal conditions, but around higher-impact news I noticed widening that made my entries less attractive, so I now avoid placing new orders right before releases. My only real negative was realizing the overnight financing (swap) on a couple of positions was higher than I expected. It wasn’t a dispute—more that I didn’t check the swap table carefully enough before holding positions past rollover. Support answered my questions clearly and pointed me to where the rates are listed, so that helped. Overall it’s been a good experience for day trading and short swing trades, just worth double-checking costs if you hold positions overnight.
