I’m Ananya Patel from Kolkata and I’ve been trading mostly EUR/USD and XAU/USD on a Standard account with Swissquote for the last 6 months. Overall it’s been a steady, professional experience. Execution has been consistent during regular market hours and I haven’t noticed random disconnects or platform freezes on my side. The main downside for me was the onboarding/KYC flow. I understand why it’s strict, but it took a few back-and-forths to get my documents accepted and it slowed down my start. Once the account was active, deposits went through fine and the account dashboard is clear enough for tracking balances and history. Withdrawals did arrive, but not as fast as I expected for smaller amounts, especially when I submitted a request late in the day. Support was polite and gave me a clear status update, though I still had to follow up once. If you want a more “serious” broker feel and can tolerate a more formal setup process, it’s a good option. I’d rate it higher if the withdrawal turnaround was a bit more predictable for routine requests.

What I like most is the overall stability—quotes feel consistent, the platform rarely hiccups, and order placement is predictable. Execution has been clean for my style (I’m not scalping), and the reporting/export options help a lot when I’m reconciling trades at month-end. The downside is the cost structure. Spreads/commissions are not the cheapest compared to some low-cost brokers, and some account/service fees can feel heavy if you’re trading smaller size. I also found the onboarding/KYC steps a bit detailed (not a deal-breaker, just takes time). Support was professional and gave clear answers, but not always immediate—email replies were solid, live chat depended on timing. Overall: good if you value reliability and a “serious” feel, but be sure the pricing fits your account size and trading frequency.
