I’m Layla from Abu Dhabi and I’ve been using FXCM on and off for the last 6 months on a Standard account. Overall the trading experience has been solid for my style (mostly EUR/USD and gold intraday). Spreads were generally reasonable during normal hours and order execution felt consistent, with the usual widening around major news. The main drawbacks for me were UI/platform quirks: the mobile app sometimes logs me out and I’ve had a few moments where charts took a bit to refresh when switching timeframes. Nothing that stopped me trading, but it’s not as polished as it could be. Deposits went through without any drama using my card, and withdrawals worked, although the processing time wasn’t always the fastest compared with what I’m used to. Support was responsive in chat when I asked about account documents and they explained the steps clearly. Not perfect, but good enough that I still keep the account active for certain pairs.

Spreads on majors are generally reasonable during London/NY overlap and I haven’t had any scary re-quotes. The platform tools are fine for basic charting and order types, but the mobile experience feels a bit clunky—some screens take an extra second to load and the layout isn’t as clean as newer apps. Deposits went through without much friction (bank transfer and card both worked for me), and I like that the account area shows clear status updates. Withdrawals have been OK overall, though one payout took longer than I expected because of a verification re-check, so I’m not giving a perfect score there. Stable execution and a clean platform, but fees need more clarity
